The Trailer and Behind-the-Scenes Content
The trailer shows Eikichi Onizuka, played by Takashi Sorimachi, in his 50s for the first time. The video begins with an exhilarating scene of a motorcycle riding over a bridge. We can glimpse a glimpse of a new story, such as Onizuka enthusiastically standing at the podium at the private Makoto Gakuen where he is newly assigned, and the light-hearted exchanges that take place between the staff room and the principal's office.
Onizuka's Unconventional Style
While students evaluate their teachers through the "teacher feedback system," Onizuka receives only low evaluations. Onizuka is shown confronting these issues and other issues with students and teachers.
In addition, from June 20th, ``Documetary of GTO'', which goes behind the scenes of student role auditions, will be distributed on ``GTO'''s official X, Instagram, TikTok, and Kantere Drama's official YouTube channel ``Kantere Dramania''. This content looks at the audition process, which was held for high school students between the ages of 15 and 17, and attracted more than 400 applicants.
The Drama's Premise
"GTO" is a school drama in which Onizuka, a teacher with a unique background as a former motorcycle gang member, uses an unconventional style that overturns the traditional image of a teacher and confronts problems with students and the school head-on. A drama version starring Sorimachi was broadcast in 1998. In addition, a special drama ``GTO Revival'' will be produced in 2024, bringing together the original cast, including Sorimachi.
