The final 188th volume of Rikiya Go's ``The Emperor of Minami'', based on the original work by Dai Tennoji, was released today, April 9th, by Nippon Bungeisha.

"The Emperor of Minami" concluded in February of this year. It was serialized in Weekly Manga Goraku (Nippon Bungeisha) for about 34 years, and ended after well over 1,600 episodes. It has often been made into films, such as the ``Namba Financial Legend Minami no Teio'' series in which Riki Takeuchi plays the main character Ginjiro Manda, the ``New Minami no Teio'' series starring Chihara Jr., and ``Minami no Teio ZERO'' starring Yutaka Kobayashi (BOYS AND MEN), which depicts how Ginjiro became such a moneylender that he was even called the ``Minami Demon.''
