Haikyu!! Hands-on Event: Key Visuals and Ticket Details Revealed
The world of Haikyu!! is coming to life in a way fans have never seen before. It has been officially announced that a special hands-on event called "Volleyball Super Experience Space 'Haikyu!! On the Court'" is being organised for fans in Japan. This event, based on the hit anime and the original manga by Haruichi Furudate, will be held at the Dojima River Forum in Osaka from June 27th to August 2nd. After that, it moves to Bellesalle Roppongi in Tokyo from August 7th to September 13th. Along with the dates, the organisers have released a massive update including key visuals, character art for 12 beloved players, and all the important ticket information you need.
This "Volleyball Super Experience Space" isn't just a simple exhibition. It is set at the "On the Court Special Training Center" where 12 characters from the series act as your guides. Visitors actually get to participate as players themselves to experience the intensity of the matches. The main key visuals feature Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama, but there are newly drawn visuals for many others too. These include Kei Tsukishima, Yu Nishitani, Tooru Oikawa, Tetsuro Kuroo, Satoshi Kozume, Eisuke Yaku, Wakatoshi Ushijima, Kotaro Bokuto, and the Miya twins, Yu Miya and Osamu Miya. Seeing these characters is a big reason why Haikyu!! is a must watch for sports anime enthusiasts.
Experience the Heat of the Volleyball Court
The venue will feature specialized experience booths to test your skills. One booth is titled "'Fly' Experience Booth: Aim for the Highest Reach!!". This one focuses on jumping and is divided into a CHALLENGE AREA and a FREE AREA. In the Challenge section, you can see a wall about 5 meters high with the height of a standard men’s volleyball net projected on it. You can pick a character like Hinata, Tsukishima, Oikawa, Kuroo, Ushijima, or Bokuto to compete against for the highest jump. In the Free Area, you can just take cool photos in jumping poses with the character visuals.
Another area is the "'Connect' Experience Booth: Gachi Receive Battle!". Here, the focus is on receiving. You have to time your moves perfectly with videos of Oikawa or Miya Yu serving their powerful shots. Your accuracy determines your score, which is shown at the end of the session. It’s these high-energy moments that explain why Haikyu!! is a must watch series that captures the spirit of teamwork so well.
Ticket Types and Bonus Goods
If you are planning to attend, there are four types of tickets you can choose from:
- General Ticket: Standard entry to the event.
- Bonus Goods Ticket: Comes with a limited number of special items.
- Audio Guide Ticket: Includes a newly recorded audio guide by the voice actors.
- Full Set Ticket: Includes both the audio guide and the bonus goods.
The bonus goods are "uniform design bibs," with six different types available. The audio guides are also split into three groups. Group A features Hinata, Kageyama, and the Miya twins. Group B has Tsukishima, Nishitani, Oikawa, and Ushijima. Group C includes Kuroo, Kozume, Yaku, and Bokuto. You can choose your group when you register on the day of your visit. Also, every visitor gets one of three "visual cards" randomly as a gift.
Tickets are going on sale starting today, April 2nd, on the official website. The sale is being handled through a lottery system. The first lottery runs until April 8th. A second lottery will be open from April 14th to April 22nd, followed by a third one from April 28th to May 6th. If you miss those, general sales will start at 10 AM on June 1st.
