The Haruhi Phenomenon
An exhibition commemorating the 20th anniversary of the TV anime 'The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya' will be held at Sunshine City Exhibition Hall D in Ikebukuro, Tokyo from August 10, 2026.
'The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya' is based on the 'Haruhi Suzumiya' light novel series published by 'Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko' with original work by Ryuu Tanigawa and illustrations by Noiji Ito, and is a science fiction-style school story about the unofficial school group 'SOS Dan,' headed by Haruhi Suzumiya.
Exhibition Overview
The exhibition will consist of two parts: the 'Reminiscences of Haruhi Suzumiya' corner, which looks back on the story with valuable setting materials and photo spots such as the SOS Brigade's club room, and the 'Phenomenon of Haruhi Suzumiya' corner, which introduces the influence this work has had on modern culture from various angles.
Goods will also be sold at the venue, including original goods featuring original illustrations from this exhibition and guidebooks containing information about the exhibition.
