"Mamoru Hosoda Announces Exhibition Details"

Mamoru Hosoda has announced his comments in preparation for the "Origins of Mamoru Hosoda/Exhibition." The key visual for the exhibition was also released.

This exhibition commemorates the 20th anniversary of the release of ``The Girl Who Leapt Through Time,'' and is Hosoda's largest exhibition to date. In his comment, Hosoda said, ``I planned ``The Girl Who Leapt Through Time'' out of my desire to make my own movie, and the production of it was a great starting point for me as a film director.'' ``The fact that so many people discovered this work with passion and supported it was an immeasurable source of encouragement for me,'' he said, looking back on his starting point and thanking his fans.

The key visual is an image of Hosoda's desk lined with storyboards and work tools. On the desk, you can see Makoto and Chiaki from ``The Girl Who Leapt Through Time,'' Kenji and Natsuki from ``Summer Wars,'' and Ame and Yuki from ``Wolf Children.'' By combining famous scenes from movies with the texture of Hosoda's handiwork, the ``place where the creation of Mamoru Hosoda's work began'' was expressed.

At the venue, over 300 production materials such as storyboards, layouts, original drawings, art boards, etc. will be on display, focusing on representative works such as ``The Girl Who Leapt Through Time,'' ``Summer Wars,'' and ``Wolf Children.'' In addition, video exhibitions will be held where you can experience famous scenes using the large space of approximately 1,200 square meters with a ceiling height of 5 meters. ``OZ Cafe'', where you can enjoy the world of director Hosoda's works centered on ``Summer Wars'', has also opened in the cafe ``CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO CAFE'' adjacent to the exhibition room. There will also be a special shop with original goods. Goods and cafe menu will be released at a later date.

"Mamoru Hosoda's Origins/Exhibition" will be held at CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO from June 20th to August 31st. Afterwards, a traveling exhibition will be held in Osaka and Fukuoka. Tickets for the Tokyo venue will go on sale at E+ from 10am on April 18th. A limited number of set tickets with goods are also available. There are two types of goods set tickets: ````Mamoru Hosoda's Origin/Exhibition'' Original Jabara Postcard Set Ticket,'' which comes with a bellows-style postcard that uses the exhibition's key visual and teaser visual, and ``KING KAZMA vs LOVE MACHINE Muffler Towel Set Ticket,'' which comes with a ``Summer Wars'' muffler towel.
