Yoshimura Masaru's 'Gender Mona Lisa to you.' has been decided to be made into a TV anime. Shaft will be in charge of animation production.
The Storyline and Themes
'To You of Gender Mona Lisa' is set in a world where people are born with a genderless body, and by the time they reach the age of 12, their body changes to the side they want to become when they touch the scales in their hearts, and their gender is determined. In such a world, the main character, Hinase, who remains asexual even at the age of 18, is a youth group drama depicting how she confronts her own way of being and love.
Production and Release
Along with the decision to make it into a TV anime, the teaser visual has been released. In addition, a commemorative illustration drawn by Yoshimura and comments have also arrived. It has also been decided that they will participate in Europe's largest anime convention 'AnimagiC 2026' which will be held in Mannheim, Germany from July 31st.
A panel stage will be held on August 1st local time to reveal the main cast information and teaser PV for the first time in the world.
