The musical "Machida-kun's World" based on the original work by Yuki Ando will be replayed at Theater Crea in Tokyo from July 7th to 30th.
``Machida-kun's World'' is a human drama in which the quiet and clumsy Hajime Machida changes his surroundings, including Nana Inohara, who hates people, and ends up being loved by everyone. The original work was serialized in Bessatsu Margaret (Shueisha) from 2015 to 2018. The musical will be premiered in 2024, directed by Wally Kinoshita, written by Pink Subterranean No. 3, and composed by Shunsuke Wada. Machida-kun was played by Koki Kawasaki, and Inohara-san was played by Itsuki Nagasawa.
In the recast, Kawasaki will continue to play Machida-kun and Nagasawa will continue to play Inohara-san. The role of Sakae-san will be played by Maya Harada, who is making her first appearance. Yuki Kamisato will continue to play Himuro-kun, Karin Isobe will play Sakura, Sayu Otsuki will play Eiko-sensei, Kaho Hamasaki will play Hikari, Dai Iwahashi will play Yoshitaka, Masaki Tsuruoka will play Nishino-kun, Wataru Kozuki will play Mother, and Keigo Yoshino will play Kenichi. Kawasaki commented, ``Among the works I've appeared in so far, ``Machida-kun's World'' is a special work for me. I'm really, really happy that it's been decided that I can perform it again, and that I can once again deliver it to everyone, and that I can return to this world as Machida once again.''
