Behind the Scenes
Azul and Asmar is an adventure fantasy directed by Michel Oslo. Director Oslo, who spent his childhood in Africa, depicts the conflict and fusion between humans with the theme of "cross-cultural issues." Director Takahata also translated and directed the Japanese version of Oslo's ``Kirik and the Witch,'' and had since deepened his friendship with Oslo.
After the screening, a talk show was held with Taeko Okajima (Girls' Generation) who played the role of "Omohide Poro Poro", Shizuku Tsukishima from "Whisper of the Heart", and Yoko Honna, who also played the elf fairy in "Azur and Asmar". The moderator will be video researcher Seiji Kano, who will delve into director Takahata's direction and episodes from the dubbing.
Tickets and Release
Tickets for the screening will go on sale tomorrow, May 20th at 7pm on the official website of DoriPass. The main story is scheduled to be screened on Blu-ray.
