New Wild King Exclusive Redefines Optimus Prime’s Power
Collectors finally get a chance to own a version of Optimus Prime that feels like a whole new character. The Transformers Wild King WKS‑05 Optimus Link Prime figure arrives in a bright, bold Energy Master guise straight from the 2025 animated series, and it’s engineered to snap together with five distinct Energy Beasts.
How the 6‑Part Combiner Works
Each Energy Beast—Lightlong, Hydrophant, Ignite Leo, Drillnohorn, and Skyreport—transforms from animal to robot, then splits into a component that Wild‑Docks onto Optimus. When all five lock in, Prime’s chassis swells with elemental energy, giving him a towering, almost mythic silhouette.
Beyond the visual wow factor, the set is a made‑to‑order exclusive sold only through Takara Tomy’s online Mall. The price tag sits at 19,800 yen (about US$125), and pre‑orders close on November 11. Fans can expect the package to ship in March 2027.
Story Context: Elementros and the Energy Beasts
The Wild King universe debuted alongside a web‑animation that explores the planet Elementros. A reformed Megatron seeks to protect Cybertron, only to stumble upon the Energy Beasts—creatures that command fire, water, earth, wind, and light. After Megatron vanishes, Optimus Prime chases him to Elementros, undergoes an Energy Master transformation, and gains the ability to merge with the Beasts.
While Optimus Prime’s new form grants unprecedented power, Megatron’s own corruption spawns the dreaded Shadow Megatron, setting the stage for an elemental showdown. The sequel, Transformers: Wild King W, pushes the narrative further with the ancient evil World Dragnus, who lacks elemental energy but commands Dragknight Soldiers to Wild‑Dock and unleash World Docking attacks.
Why This Figure Matters to Fans
For longtime Autobots enthusiasts, the Optimus Link Prime isn’t just another robot‑to‑truck toy—it’s a narrative centerpiece that captures a pivotal moment in the series. The intricate engineering, combined with the lore‑rich backstory, makes it a standout piece for display cabinets or battle‑ready dioramas. If you’re hunting a collector’s gem that bridges story and sculpt, this Wild King exclusive is the one to snag before the deadline.
