Sayonara Lala Anime Unveils New Cast and Exciting Main PV
The upcoming television anime Sayonara Lala is officially scheduled to broadcast this July, and fans are already getting some very interesting updates. Recently, the makers revealed that Rika Fukami and Ayumu Murase have joined the team as additional cast members. Along with this announcement, the main promotional video (PV) has also been released, giving us a much better look at the world they are building.
A Special Anniversary Project by Kinema Citrus
For those who might not know, Sayonara Lala is actually an original anime project. It has been produced as a special work to commemorate the 15th anniversary of Kinema Citrus, the studio known for some really high-quality animations. The story is quite unique and starts with a mermaid princess named Lala. Around 200 years ago, she apparently turned into bubbles and disappeared into the sea because of a forbidden love. However, in the present day, she is suddenly revived in Lake Biwa.
The new cast members are playing very crucial roles in this narrative:
- Rika Fukami voices Grace: She is the witch who originally turned Lala into a human long ago. After being banished from the mermaid world, she now lives as a fish alongside a high school girl.
- Ayumu Murase voices Luka: A young boy whom Lala meets in Shiga. Interestingly, his appearance is almost identical to the prince Lala loved two centuries ago.
