Steins;Gate 15th Anniversary Project: Huge Akihabara Exhibition Announced
The 15th anniversary project for the legendary TV anime series, Steins;Gate, has finally kicked off, and fans are absolutely buzzing with excitement. To mark this massive milestone, the production team has released a brand-new commemorative visual that brings back all the nostalgic feels. It’s hard to believe it has been fifteen years since the Future Gadget Laboratory members first graced our screens and messed with time in the most heart-wrenching way possible.

The official TV anime STEINS;GATE 15th anniversary commemorative visual (c)2011 5pb./Nitroplus Future Gadget Laboratory is a real treat for the eyes. It features the entire main cast together again, including our favorite self-proclaimed mad scientist Rintaro Okabe, the sweet Mayuri Shiina, the super hacker Itaru Hashida (Daru), and of course, the brilliant Kurisu Makise. Other essential Lab Members like Moeka Kiryu, Luka Urushibara, Faris NyanNyan, and the brave Suzuha Amane are also seen in the artwork, looking as iconic as ever.
A Grand Celebration in the Heart of Akihabara
As part of this grand 15th anniversary project, KADOKAWA and MAGES have confirmed that a large-scale exhibition will be held in July 2026. What makes it even more special is the location—Akihabara, Tokyo. For anyone who has seen the show, you know Akihabara is not just a setting but almost like a character itself in the series. Holding the exhibition there is a perfect tribute to the roots of the story. This event is expected to showcase original artwork, life-sized replicas, and maybe even some Dr. Pepper for the true fans! This is just the beginning though, as the team has promised to announce various other projects one after another throughout the year.
The journey of this series is quite a fascinating one. STEINS;GATE was originally released as an Xbox 360 game back in 2009. From there, it grew into a global phenomenon, expanding into manga, drama CDs, and of course, the Steins;Gate anime that we all love. The first season was broadcast in 2011, and it quickly became a benchmark for the sci-fi genre. Even after all these years, the emotional weight of Okabe’s struggle against the world lines continues to resonate with new viewers.
