BANDAI SPIRITS' dinosaur plastic model series "Planosaurus" has been made into an anime. Under the title ``Planosaurus Gachiko Seibutsu Club,'' it will be broadcast as a 5-minute anime on six TV Tokyo stations from July. It was also announced that Yuki Sakakibara, Kanna Nakamura, and Chisai Morinaga will appear in the film.
"Planosaurus" is a plastic model that allows you to deepen your understanding of the structure and mechanism of dinosaur bodies by assembling the dinosaur skeleton and skin one by one. It has been developed as a BANDAI SPIRITS original IP since January 2023. The anime "Planosaurus Gachiko Seibutsu Club" is a paleontological comedy based on the concept of "learning about dinosaurs by watching." We aim to provide content that satisfies children's desire for knowledge.
The director is Hiroki Itai, the series composition is Takahiro Nagano, the character design and chief animation director is Kanako Ono, and the music is by Cornish and Toshiyuki Watanabe. SMDE will be in charge of animation production. Sakakibara will play the role of Tetori Chatan, the head of the paleontological group, and Nakamura will play the role of Kanna Nakazato, an aspiring idol. Morinaga will play the role of the unknown Dino. Details of Dino have not been disclosed. Also, LINKL PLANET's ``Gachi de Kosei'' will be used as the theme song. A PV featuring characters and dinosaurs from the same work has also been released.
