The movie ``Night on the Galaxy Express,'' released in 1985, will be broadcast tomorrow, March 7th at 2:40 pm on E-Tele.
This broadcast is in conjunction with the original author Kenji Miyazawa's 130th birthday in 2026. ``Night on the Galactic Railroad'' depicts Giovanni, a boy who lives with his sick mother and waits for his father who never returns, and his friend Campanella's journey and farewell. Based on Hiroshi Masumura's manga, the main characters are depicted as anthropomorphic cats. Mayumi Tanaka voices Giovanni and Chinatsu Sakamoto voices Campanella. Gisaburo Sugii, known for ``Manga Nihon Mukashibanashi'', ``Touch'', and ``Storm Night'', is the director, Minoru Betsuyaku is in charge of the screenplay, and Haruomi Hosono is in charge of the music.
