A new TV animation for "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" has been decided to be produced. At the same time, cast information, teaser visuals, and PV were released.

This was announced during the special program ``TV Anime ``Higurashi no Naku Koro ni'' 20th Anniversary Special Program'' that was distributed on June 21st, ``Wata Nagashi Day.'' In the new TV anime, Soichiro Hoshi will continue to play Keiichi Maehara, Mai Nakahara will play Rena Ryugu, Satsuki Yukino will play Mion Sonozaki and Shion Sonozaki, Mika Kanai will play Satoko Hojo, and Yukari Tamura will continue to play Rika Furute. It was also revealed that Studio Deen, which produced Higurashi no Naku Koro ni 20 years ago, will be in charge of animation production.

The teaser visual features a smiling Rena Ryugu along with a copy of ``Everyone, welcome back.'' In the PV, you can listen to Rena's newly recorded lines.
