Gae's Tears for Withered Flowers has been published as a book. Volumes 1 and 2 were released today, April 24th, by Starts Publishing.
The Story Behind Tears for Withered Flowers
Tears for Withered Flowers is a work that depicts the relationship between Juri, a woman who has incurred a huge debt after her husband had an affair, and a mysterious younger man who frequently frequents the store where she works. In addition to winning first place in the LINE Manga 2025 Annual Ranking (Serial), it also won the INI Yudai Sano Award selected by guest judge Yudai Sano of INI at the Vertical Reading Manga Award 2025, a manga award sponsored by Comic Natalie.
Release and Promotions
The book will be a horizontally readable version of the vertically read manga serialized on LINE Manga. To commemorate the release, Miraiya Shoten, TSUTAYA, Miyawaki Shoten, Animate, and Kumazawa Shoten will be handing out instant photo-style cards. Additionally, a pop-up shop will be held at Animate Ikebukuro Main Store in Tokyo from May 15th to 31st. Goods featuring newly drawn illustrations will be sold. Additionally, if you purchase at least one volume 1 or 2 of the book and at least one new product at the pop-up shop, you will receive a postcard.
