The TV anime "Yanineko" based on the original work by Nyan Nyan Factory will begin broadcasting on TOKYO MX and BS11 on July 2nd. The second cast information and key visual have been released.
Six new cast members have been announced. Misato Matsuoka will play Yakuneko, a junior who calls Yanineko her senior, Yurie Funato will play Hameneko, Yakuneko's high school classmate, and Ayaka Shimizu will play Kansaineko, a college student who speaks the Kansai dialect, and is a heavy drinker. Shiori Izawa will play the role of Alneko, a beastman who spends her days in a pickle; Riko Akechi will play the role of Tatsuro Ochinpo, a manga artist who is the only person who lives in the same apartment as Yanineko; and Toru Inada will play the role of the landlord who manages the apartment where Yanineko and the others live.
The key visual depicts Yani Neko, Yaku Neko, Hameneko, Kansai Neko, Al Neko, and Ochinpo Tatsuro standing in a back alley. The visuals give a glimpse of each character's individuality.
``Yani Neko'' is a comedy set in a world where humans and beasts coexist, depicting the daily life of Yanineko, a scum beast who is a heavy smoker. The director is Taku Kimura, the screenplay is by Takashi Aoshima, the character design is by Riki Matsuura, the music is by Keiichi Suzuki, and the animation is produced by Bibury Animation Studio. The role of Yanineko will be played by Yuko Natsuyoshi.
