Pre-sale of the One Piece Paper Knife Griffon model, which reproduces Shanks' beloved sword from the popular TV anime "ONE PIECE", has started from July 6, 2026.
The author of "ONE PIECE" is Eiichiro Oda. The series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump issue 34, released on July 22, 1997, and will celebrate its 25th anniversary in July 2022. Volume 1 of the comics was released on December 24, 1997, and the first edition circulation of 3 million copies of the 57th volume of comics released on March 4, 2010 was the highest first edition circulation in the history of Japanese publishing (at that time), and the first edition circulation of 3 million copies has been maintained to this day. Volume 67, released on August 3, 2012, was published with a record-setting first edition of 4.05 million copies. The cumulative circulation of comics worldwide has exceeded 600 million copies as of March 4, 2026 (cumulative circulation in Japan is over 450 million; cumulative circulation overseas is over 150 million).
Release Details
The TV anime began broadcasting on the Fuji TV network in 1999, and will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2024. The Elbaf edition will begin broadcasting from April 5, 2026. Season 2 of the live-action drama version of ONE PIECE, distributed exclusively on Netflix worldwide, will be released from March 10, 2026.
The One Piece Paper Knife Griffon Model, which reproduces the beloved sword of the character Shanks that appears in this work, has been released.
In 2018, the series released a total of four types of paper knives modeled after the beloved swords of popular ONE PIECE characters Roronoa Zoro and Trafalgar Law. This time, in response to requests, a new Japanese sword-shaped paper knife with the motif of Shanks' sword, the griffon, has been released.
Each one-piece paper knife is realistically reproduced, including the blade crest, tsuba shape, and sheath shape. Craftsmen in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, a town known for knives, carefully sharpen each blade one by one, making it a product that allows you to cut envelopes with ease. It also comes with a hanging stand, so you can enjoy displaying it in your room even when not in use.
