Volume 1 of Natsuki's ``Vampire and Chocolatier ~The Sweet Exploration of a Genius Alchemist~@COMIC'' was released by TO Books today, March 1st. This is a comic adaptation of Masanobu Serizawa's novel.
Alfred studies alchemy in the mysterious city of Luvilia, where ghosts gather, and one day he is seduced by the vampire king, Shin, whom he meets at a coffee house, and is forced into an unreasonable servitude contract. Alfred now has to absolutely obey Shin. Shin demands that he make the best chocolate as a condition for breaking the contract. Would you rather make Alfred a piece of delicious chocolate to die for, or would you rather turn it into a useless cinder? A battle unfolds between a young alchemist and an immortal vampire.
The second volume of the original novel will also be released at the same time today. The TO Books online store has one volume of the book with postcards and two volumes of the original novel with newly written short stories. Additionally, those who purchase the two-book set will receive two illustrated papers with short stories as a bonus.
