Volume 1 of Kei Kono's ``The Truth about the Perpetrator's Family'', based on the original work by Kyoko Abe, was released today, March 18th.

This work is being serialized in Akita Shoten's Champion Cross as a comic adaptation of Abe's book ``My son killed someone: The truth about the perpetrator's family.'' The film focuses on the families of perpetrators who commit crimes such as fraud and murder, and explores their harsh lives after the crimes. Volume 1 contains an episode in which a wife and her daughter, whose husband is arrested on suspicion of fraud, are subjected to severe criticism from society and are driven to a mental corner.
