The TV anime "I became friends with the second cutest girl in my class" will begin broadcasting and distribution on April 7th. Additional cast, 2nd key visual, 2nd main PV, and ending theme song information have been released.
``I became friends with the second cutest girl in my class'' is a romantic comedy that depicts the relationship between the main character, Maki, a shady boy who is in a contrasting position in his class, and the heroine, Umi, who is the second cutest in her class. Additional cast members include Yuko Kaida as Maki's mother Masaki Maehara, Shizuka Ito as Sora Asanagi, the mother of the sea, and Minami Tsuda as Miki Yagisawa, her homeroom teacher. The second key visual features a secret moment between Maki and Umi. The second PV shows Maki and Umi's "teasing" relationship, as well as Umi's complicated feelings toward Yu, her best friend and the No. 1 beautiful girl in her class.
The ending theme song has been decided to be ``Make Zutto No. 1'' sung by singer-songwriter Koresawa. Koresawa commented, ``For me, this work made me want to believe in what I love and spend my days remembering that I am someone special to someone! I'm looking forward to hearing this song play at the ending!'' Part of the ending theme song can also be heard in the second PV.
