The New Manga Release
Volume 1 of Nui Aoi's ``I am Blue and Transparent'', originally written by Misumi Kubo, was released today, June 16th.
The Story Unfolds
Hada Umi, a first-year high school boy, moves to a rural area with his mother Misako, with whom he is not related by blood. Umi, who doesn't really want to interact with other people, becomes curious about her classmate Shinobu Nagaoka, who showed her around the school on her first day of transfer. But Shinobu had a girlfriend. The son of a local celebrity, he is an honor student and a sociable ninja. Umi realizes that her life will never intersect with him, as she wants to live as inconspicuously as the air, but as they spend time together in the same class, they gradually become closer.
A Comic Adaptation
The work is a comic adaptation of Kubo's novel of the same name. It is serialized in Bungeishunju's Seasons. As the story progresses, we can expect to see the development of Umi and Shinobu's relationship and how they navigate their high school lives. With its unique characters and setting, I Am Blue and Transparent is definitely a manga to look out for.
