Volume 1 of the bull ``Highly Educated Refugee'', originally written by Kyoko Abe, was released today, March 18th.
``Highly Educated Refugee'' is a comic adaptation of Abe's book of the same name, and is currently being serialized in Monthly Champion RED (Akita Shoten). The series focuses on highly educated people who were seen as promising elites when they were young, but who have fallen by the wayside for various reasons. Volume 1 includes an episode in which a cram school instructor who was unable to become the bureaucrat he had hoped to become becomes involved in a horrifying act that robs his students of their future.
