New Release: Volume 1 of "I Want to See Your Jagged Teeth" Out Now

Manga fans, there's some really exciting news for you all today. The first volume of Shunsuke Kusho's latest work, titled I Want to See Your Jagged Teeth, has officially hit the stands this February 20th. Now, if you are familiar with the creator's previous hit, Sanpakugan-chan Wants to Tell You, then you already know that we are in for a very sweet and unique ride. This new series is already creating quite a buzz in the community, and for good reason!

A Quirky Youth Romantic Comedy

The story itself is a very refreshing youth romantic comedy that follows the life of a boy named Yamato. Now, Yamato is not your average high schooler; he has a very specific fascination—he absolutely loves teeth. On the other side of this story, we have Aisu (also referred to as Aishin), a young girl who is extremely self-conscious about her teeth. Specifically, she has jagged teeth, which has given her quite a complex over the years. Because of this, she is almost always seen wearing a mask to hide her smile from the world.

The plot really kicks off one afternoon when Yamato happens to spot Aisu on the school rooftop. She thinks she's alone, so she has her mask off, happily stuffing herself with lunch. Yamato is immediately captivated by her unique jagged teeth and decides then and there that he has to see them again. He starts approaching her in all sorts of ways, trying his level best to get a glimpse of her mouth, but Aisu isn't making it easy for him at all. It's these awkward and funny interactions that make it a must-read manga mystery for fans of the genre.

Serialization and Promotional Details

Currently, the series is being serialized in Gangan Joker, which is published by Square Enix. To celebrate the launch of this first volume, the publishers have gone the extra mile and released a special promotional video (PV). What makes this PV even more special is that the talented voice actress Tomori Kusunoki is playing the role of Aisu. Hearing her voice really brings the character's shy yet charming personality to life.

For those of you looking to pick up a physical copy, keep an eye out because some bookstores are even giving out special purchase benefits. And if you prefer reading on your gadgets, the electronic version isn't lagging behind—it comes with exclusive illustration data that you won't want to miss. It is truly heartening to see such a creative story getting the spotlight it deserves.
