``Pen, Handcuffs, and Common-Law Marriage'' is a ``new style mystery romantic comedy'' about Tsugumi Kuchinashi, a high school girl who speaks in a sketchbook without uttering a single word, and Eiji Kirisame, a serious middle-aged detective who is devoted to the field. Tsuzuru reveals the truth behind the elaborate murders one after another through his clumsy drawings in his sketchbook, and hunts down the culprits. Izuku is about to be attacked by the culprit who holds a grudge against her, but Kirisame manages to save her just in the nick of time and arrests the culprit. Kirisame is relieved, but right after that, Tsuzuru suddenly proposes marriage... It depicts a unique buddy who transcends generations and positions.

The original work is currently being serialized in Young Animal (Hakusensha). Up to 6 volumes have been published, and the cumulative circulation has exceeded 400,000 copies. The special PV uses the original cut. Although the film is short, the characters of Tsuzuru and Kirisame stand out, and the film condenses the tempo and charm of the work.

To celebrate the decision to make it into an anime, comments from the original author Sawaragi and comments and illustrations from Gus Yama, the illustrator, have arrived. Please wait for further information on details such as cast and broadcast time.
