The synopsis and preliminary scene cuts of #01 (Episode 1) 'The future is in our hands' from the summer anime 'BLACK TORCH', which will begin broadcasting on Saturday, July 4, 2026, have been released.
'BLACK TORCH' is a TV anime based on the manga by Tsuyoshi Takakitoshi that was serialized in 'Jump SQ.' and 'Shonen Jump +' from 2017 to 2018, and depicts a 'shinobi' battle that begins with an encounter between a monster and a boy.
One day, Niro Agatsuma, a high school student who was raised by his grandfather as a descendant of ninjas and has the ability to talk to animals, encounters a wounded black cat, Raku, in the forest. At first glance, Luoji looks like an ordinary black cat, but his true identity is a legendary monster once known as the 'black malevolent star'. The shadow of a monster creeps in, trying to take advantage of Rakuji's great power. The government's secret organization, the Secret Secret Bureau, which monitors and eliminates monsters, also intervenes. While various speculations swirl around Rakuji's power, what is the 'resolution' that Niro and Rakuten show?
Behind the Scenes
Under the direction of Kei Umahiki, he has produced original theatrical animations such as 'Several Minutes of Cheer', TV animations 'This World is Too Imperfect', and 'Chuzenji Sensei's Mystery Lectures: The Teacher Will Solve Mysteries.' 100 studio will be producing the animation.
The cast includes Ryota Suzuki as Niro Agatsuma, Yoji Ueda as Raku, Ayaka Senbongi as Kazuka Kishimogami, Junya Enoki as Reiji Kirihara, Junichi Suwabe and Usa as Ryosuke Shiba. Also appearing are Rena Ueda as Mika, Tomoyuki Morikawa as Tenki, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Kakuga, Shinpachi Tsuji as Toshimasa Agatsuma, Yuko Kaida as Toko Hisasumi, and Yoshitada Otsuka as Banjuro Tokieda.
