Volume 1 of ``I Want to Quit Being an Idol'' by Miki Aihara, known for ``Honey Hunt'' and ``From 5 to 9,'' was released by Shogakukan today, June 26th. The story depicts the teacher-pupil relationship between Haruka Minamitani of the unit KNIGHTS who appears in ``Honey Hunt'' and a girl who is a former actor with excellent acting skills.
KNIGHTS is a four-member unit that has been at the top since its debut. Haruka Minamitani, who plays the role of the center, has been losing her seat to the talented young actor Midori Hanabusa in drama auditions and other events. On the day Haruka finally confessed to the members that she wanted to quit being an idol, she was approached by a girl who said, ``I can see the aura of her choosing the wrong path.'' She claims to be a fan of KNIGHTS, but she is actually the older sister of rival Midori and is a former child actress with great acting skills.
