Kyoto International Manga and Anime Fair (Kyomaf) 2026, one of the largest manga, anime, and game events in western Japan, will be held on September 19th and 20th at Miyako Messe, ROHM Theater Kyoto, Kyoto International Manga Museum, and other locations. Yuki Kaji and Sumire Uesaka will serve as Okoshiyasu ambassadors.

Kyo Maf is one of the largest manga, anime, and game festivals in western Japan, where anime fans from Japan and all over the world gather in Kyoto, a world-famous cultural city. It is a comprehensive trade fair that has been held since 2012 with the aim of promoting the content industry in the Kansai region centered on Kyoto, such as ``creating and growing new industries using content'', ``creating, nurturing, and retaining creative human resources'', ``improving brand power as a global cultural city'', and ``developing young tourists and other tourists''.This year marks the 15th anniversary of the event.
In addition, the main visual of "Kyomaf 2026" has been released. It features Kyoto City's public relations character, Tsukasa Kyono, and Kyoto City Transportation Bureau's support character for subways and city buses, Moe Uzumasa. The work is being produced by Kosei Memori, who won the grand prize at the Kyomaf Creators Contest 2025_U25 ~Fictional Novel Illustration Award~.
Today, April 17th, we started recruiting exhibitors for the booth and stage. The main venues, Miyako Messe and ROHM Theater Kyoto, will feature a variety of events, including exhibition booths, stage events with voice actors, and a "Character Cafe" where you can enjoy drinks and food in collaboration with the works. There will also be a workshop where you can experience traditional crafts, a goods shop, and an area where you can enjoy cosplay photos. The goods shop plans to sell original goods using the main visual.

Along with these announcements, comments from Kaji and Uesaka about their appointment as Okoshiyasu ambassadors, and from Mego, have arrived. Please wait for further information on "Kyo Maf 2026".
