Kentaro's ``Failure Sage's Gakuin Musou ~Second Reincarnation, S Rank Cheat Magician Adventure~'' based on the original work by Shin Shiraishi has been decided to be made into a TV anime. It will be broadcast from July. A teaser visual was released, and it was announced that Shuichiro Umeda will play the role of Ephthal, Reo Koyamauchi will play the role of Anastasia, and Haruka Shiraishi will play the role of Merlin.
"Failed Sage's Gakuin Musou ~Second Reincarnation, Adventure Record of S Rank Cheat Magician~" is a school fantasy depicting the activities of a reincarnated sage. Ephthal, a great sage who was reincarnated from the present day and dedicated his life to the study of magic, realized the limits of his talent and died in despair. 400 years later, when he was reincarnated for the second time, carrying the knowledge and magic from his previous life, what awaited him was a world where magical civilization had declined. Together with Anastasia, a slave girl, and Merlin, the president of a prestigious academy and his former pupil, Hephthal becomes unrivaled at the magic academy. Manga is Square Enix's Manga UP! Currently being serialized. Uodenim is in charge of the character design.
The film will be directed by Hisashi Ishii and produced by EMT Squared, who has been collaborating with director Ishii for many years. Deko Akao is in charge of series composition, and Hideki Furukawa is in charge of character design and chief animation director. At the time of the announcement of the TV anime adaptation, colored paper illustrations by Kentaro and illustrations by director Ishii were released.
A stage event for the same work will be held at the NBC Universal booth at "AnimeJapan 2026" to be held at Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo on March 29th. Umeda, Koyamauchi, and Shiraishi will introduce the appeal of their works.
