The 100 Girlfriends Manga Series Shifts Schedule for Artist's Maternity Leave
Renowned artist Yukiko Nozawa, known for her work on The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You, recently made an important announcement regarding the manga series. Nozawa shared that the serialization of the popular manga will be temporarily adjusted to accommodate her pregnancy and upcoming maternity leave.
Following a period of hospitalization and a hiatus from creating illustrations last year, Nozawa discovered she was pregnant. Given that this was her first pregnancy and the circumstances were somewhat uncertain, she opted to delay sharing the news until she reached a stable stage. Expressing regret for any concerns caused during her earlier absence, Nozawa expressed deep gratitude to the readers for their continued support during this time.
The artist disclosed that the serialization pace would be slowed down for a period to come. To prepare for her maternity leave, Nozawa mentioned that several manuscripts have already been completed in advance, with the specific publication schedule to be announced through the series’ official channels. The primary objective is to gradually transition back to a weekly release schedule while prioritizing her well-being.
While Volume 25 of the manga series has already been finalized, the release date will be revealed at a later time. Work on Volume 26 and subsequent volumes will continue in close collaboration with the editorial team as they monitor Nozawa's condition. Additionally, she confirmed that the supervisory work related to the upcoming Season 3 of the anime adaptation is progressing smoothly with the collective efforts of all involved parties.
