The first and second seasons of the TV anime "Kaiju No. 8" based on the original work by Naoya Matsumoto will be screened in theaters for eight weeks starting April 16th at TOHO Cinemas Ikebukuro, TOHO Cinemas Tachikawa Tachihi, and TOHO Cinemas Umeda in Osaka.

This project, titled "Review Screening Strategy of Season 1 & Season 2," commemorates the 2nd anniversary of the anime's broadcasting in April. All episodes that have been broadcast on TV so far will be screened in eight parts. This is the first time that all episodes of the series will be screened in theaters. On May 30th, the 8th screening, a talk event will be held at TOHO Cinemas Ikebukuro with Katsuya Fukunishi, who plays Kafka Hibino/Kaiju No. 8, and Koki Uchiyama, who plays Gen Narumi. The event will also be broadcast at TOHO Cinemas Tachikawa Tachihi and TOHO Cinemas Umeda. Before the final part, which has been decided to be produced, let's take a look back at the past series.
"Monster No. 8" is a story set in Japan, which has one of the highest rates of monster occurrence in the world and is known as a "monster powerhouse." The main character, Kafka Hibino, aspires to join the Japanese Defense Force to subjugate monsters, but once he gives up on that dream, a certain event triggers him to aim for the Japanese Defense Force again. The first season of the anime was aired in 2024, and the second season was aired in 2025.
