The "Origins of Mamoru Hosoda/Exhibition" will be held from June 20th, starting at the Tokyo venue and traveling to Osaka and Fukuoka. At the venue, in addition to director Mamoru Hosoda's masterpieces, there will also be an exhibition of works from his time as a director before ``The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.'' Also on display are independent animation works he created on 8mm film when he was a junior high school student, live-action video works he created during his time at Kanazawa College of Art, and oil paintings. Uncover the origin of creation from over 300 production materials, including storyboards, layouts, director revisions, original drawings, art boards, and character setting materials.
The Inspiration Behind the New Arc
There was also an exhibit where you could experience the worldview of the virtual world "OZ" on the Internet that appears in "Summer Wars." Two life-size figures of King Kazuma and Love Machine will also appear in the area, which takes advantage of the large space with a ceiling height of 5 meters.
Goods and Merchandise
More than 100 original goods will be on sale. Goods featuring scenes from director Hosoda's works, character mascots, and items with blue sky motifs will be on sale. Keyboard keychains designed with avatars from ``Summer Wars'' were also unveiled, as well as messenger bags and jogger bags made in collaboration with Manhattan Portage and ``The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.''
