The first episode of ``Giant Robo'', Japan's first special effects giant robot hero work based on Mitsuteru Yokoyama's original work, ``Great Sea Beast Dakora'' will be broadcast on TOKYO MX tomorrow, June 27th at 7pm.

This broadcast commemorates the release of the ``4K negative scan HD remastered version of ``Giant Robo Blu-ray BOX'' on July 8th. The decision to make it into a Blu-ray BOX was decided through a vote in Toei Video's 2025 project ``Let's all decide! Toei Special Effects Blu-ray Project!''. The broadcast on June 27th will also be a 4K negative scan HD remastered version that will be included in the Blu-ray BOX.
"Giant Robo" is said to be the origin of Toei's giant robot special effects series, including the Super Sentai series and the Space Sheriff series. Originally a giant robot secretly built by invaders from outer space, Daisaku Kusama, a boy who hates evil, transforms him into a super robot of justice. Giant Robo, who is supposed to protect humanity, takes on various powerful enemies together with young Kusama. Broadcast from October 1967 to April 1968. Yokoyama's manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday (Shogakukan).
