The music for the series also has some interesting connections. The opening theme song, "Reimei Compass," will be performed by Mori Calliope from Hololive English. Interestingly, the song's title was inspired by "Future Lovers," the opening from the Mobile Police Patlabor Early Days OVA. The ending theme, titled "Baton," is by Mariko Nagai. Character designer Masami Yuuki shared an anecdote that Nagai's short-haired look from back in the day actually influenced the image of the original main character, Akira Izumino.
